Excellent job (of course - I expect that from you). It's not that hard to get the gross tones of noir right, but you got the subtle tenor of the genre too, as well as the usual on-the-dot presentation of Napoleon and Illya. This was a great read.

An atmospheric film noir piece--how original! Your use of language to evoke the mood is just brilliant, and the detective's sarcastic tough-guy wit is just hilarious. Thanks for a great story, wonderfully told!

Great job on this story. I'm just discovering this genre of writing, and it's so entertaining to have more U.N.C.L.E. stories to add to the actual series. It seems that Illya is the favorite character among most of the writers. It makes one wonder why they didn't have more stories centered around him, since all of the fan fiction comes across so well with him as the central character. This website is not on my "favorites". I hope to come back here often and make new discoveries. Thanks for the "new" memories. Glenna
